Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food is authentic and of really good quality. This is truly an all-in-one place—you get a very comfortable setting with the option for al fresco dining, relaxing music, and the natural Tagaytay breeze. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. You must try their cansi, inasal, backribs, and don’t forget their coffee and desserts (cakes, icea cream) you’ll never forget them. The place has ample parking and is kid-friendly, too. It’s also suitable for company meetings or private gatherings. I think they have enough space cozy and not too big for small to medium-sized events. I think they have the newest Al Fresco Dining in tagaytay."
"First try and we instantly loved this place. We sat on a small table and later on asked if we are allowed on the bigger table since it was a bit stuffed, surprised that it was fine with them even if table was like 6-8 seater. Food was super good specially the Kansi We brought our parents on our second visit and they loved it too! The soup had free refills and worth the price too! Good serving for the price and good service too. Definitely one of our faves in Tagaytay!"
"Nice place. Clean. Good atmosphere. Good view. Nice design. Young owner, young staff. Food served a bit slow (as per requested if they could serve it fast because we are in a hurry). The potion is a big big for me. The taste is better than those I tried in Manila. Nice weather and good experience."
"Cool, modern spot with a nice vibe! We had lunch there, and it wasn’t crowded, probably because it’s new. It’s along Nasugbu-Tagaytay Road, so easy to find. Food was really good, though the Bacolod Inasal could’ve been cooked a little more. Other than that, everything was great—friendly staff, tasty dishes. We’ll be back!"
"Walking into Piyo feels like stepping into someone’s dining table back in Negros—warm, unpretentious, and proudly home-cooked. The menu doesn’t try to be flashy; it leans into comfort and tradition, and that’s exactly where it shines. Grilled Chicken (Inasal) This is the heart of the meal. The chicken comes out smoky and deeply aromatic, with that familiar inasal-style savoriness—slightly sweet, slightly tangy, and grilled just enough to keep the skin flavorful while the meat stays juicy. It tastes like it was made with patience, not shortcuts. Laswa A quiet standout. Light, clean, and nourishing, it balances the heavier grilled dishes perfectly. The vegetables taste fresh, and the broth feels like something you’d actually drink at home—simple, comforting, and gently flavorful without being oily or overpowering. BBQ Vegetable Lumpia Crisp on the outside and packed on the inside, this one is snackable but still feels like a proper dish. The BBQ twist gives it a slightly smoky-sweet edge that makes it different from your usual veggie lumpia, and it pairs well with anything grilled on the table. Grilled Milkfish (Bangus) If you’re looking for something that screams “island flavors,” this is it. The bangus is nicely charred with a clean, savory taste that stays true to the fish. It’s satisfying without being heavy, and the smokiness from the grill brings everything together. Overall, PIYO delivers exactly what its story promises: a place where every dish feels personal, like it’s meant to be shared, talked over, and remembered. You leave full—and with that “certain” feeling you got your money’s worth. r&R"
"I loved their lumpia, and chicken inasal. Their batchoy was also good with unlimited soup! The bangus is also a winner of course. The kansi could be better though. Place is new, clean and has a calm ambiance."
"Place was easy to find, had parking in front, and a great view by the window seats. Sadly, we came for cansi but it wasn't available. We ordered KBL instead as well as chicken inasal and fried chicken (not pictured). Chicken inasal rice meal came with a serving of molo soup. They also gave shrimp crackers as appetizer. Good servings, inasal was still juicy and not dry. KBL was served hot and it was comforting given the cool weather. They even topped up the soup. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected for Tagaytay restos."
"Overall, we enjoyed our meal. Price was reasonable and serving size was good for the price. We ordered chicken inasal (pecho), which came with rice, molo soup, and iced tea; and also ordered beef lumpia. The serving of chicken inasal was quite big, however, a bit dry on the white meat parts, but we still enjoyed it. Maybe the paa part would have been better. The molo soup was really good! The beef lumpia was good and crispy, and cheese inside was a good addition to the dish. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the lumpia was a good combination to the dish. There were a few parking slots in front of the restaurant. The place was cozy. The servers were courteous and attentive. Would recommend this place. :)"
